David Leopold Obituary
David Theodore Leopold, 77 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.
He was born September 28, 1945, in Fairview, Pennsylvania where he was raised and lived until moving to Amherst in 1997, where he resided until his passing.
He operated his family dairy farm in PA for many years. He labored as a factory worker for several years becoming employed as a maintenance man for Sommer's Mobile Park in Elyria for over twenty years. David was an avid hunter “Back East” in Pennsylvania where he maintained a hunting cabin. He loved taking care of his home, tinkering around his house and staying busy outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Leopold; his children, David (Tammy) Leopold of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Dennis Leopold of Girard, Pennsylvania, Michael (Jennifer) Leopold of Vermilion and Michelle (Ryan) Mayfield of Indiana; his grandchildren, Allison, David, Tommy, David III, Mason, Gavin, Jaxon, Ethan, Ambrien, Casslyn and David; and his sister, Carole Leopold of Lincoln, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Maralyn and Joann; and his parents, Theodore Clarence (Ruth V. Copen) Leopold.
Services will be held privately by the family.
