David Greene

David Greene, 61 years of age, and a resident of Wellington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Metro Hospital in Cleveland, following a brief illness.

He was born February 16,1960, in Lorain, Ohio and raised in Lorain, graduating from Clearview High School with the class of 1978.  Wellington has been his home for the last 14 years. 

David was employed primarily at Freezer Queen and US Steel for most of his life and was a member of the UAW Local #758. Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting and working on any type of engine with a special passion for cars and trains. 

Survivors include his siblings, Raymond Greene, Jr. of Elyria, James A. Greene of Wellington, Nora Lee Lute (Robert) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Debbie Lenhart (Steve) of Elyria, Diane Lewyckyj of Vermilion, Brenda Stroup (Landon) of Lorain and Terry Grooms (Anthony) of Lorain, and many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Betty Jane Greene (nee: McKinney).

Public visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021  from 4-6 p.m.  at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral Services will be held  Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.   The Rev. Alan Jenkins, will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http://www.hempelfuneralhome.com/ .  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
