Daniel Stephen Trinemeyer, 69 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his home, following a lingering illness.
He was born June 13, 1951 in Camp Pendleton, California. Daniel had made his home in the Amherst area for most of his life.
He was employed as a landscaper with the Ohio Laborer’s Union. Daniel proudly served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam war where he was awarded many military medals for his valor. He was a member of the Amherst Retired Military Honor Guard. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. His hobbies included golf and bowling. His greatest joy was the time he spent with family and friends. Daniel especially enjoyed his role as a grandfather.
Survivors include his son Daniel Trinemeyer (fiance Melissa) of Georgetown, Kentucky; his daughter Julie Trinemeyer of Elyria, his grandchildren Lee Anderson, Serenity Hughes, Gianna Manning, Brittanie and Tanner Duncan; his siblings Eric Trinemeyer of Tennessee and Rise’ Davis Trinemeyer of Avon.
He was preceded in death by his wife of eighteen years Kay Lynn Trinemeyer (nee: Manes) on May 30, 2014; his siblings Charles Trinemeyer and Melodie McCune; and his parents Charles and Violet Trinemeyer (nee: Sandor).
Private family viewing will be held at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, Ohio. Private burial will take place at Brownhelm Cemetery.
