Daniel Edward Meredith, 74 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born March 27, 1946, in Amherst, Daniel had made his home in Elyria for the last fifty-two years.
Dan worked in restaurant management for over twenty-five years. He volunteered as an usher and was later employed as a portal chief for The Ohio State University football games. Dan loved to serve and converse with others about their lives, so it was a natural use of his gifts to operate an AirBnB with his wife Linda from their home. Daniel enjoyed being on the water, and especially loved taking cruises. His greatest joy in life was being with his grandchildren whenever possible.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Linda Marie Meredith (nee: Glaser); his children, Evan Meredith (Cheryl Ann) of Lakewood, Brandon Meredith (Cylina) of Franklin, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Grace Meredith, Sarah Meredith, and Corey Fatony; as well as his siblings, Ronald Meredith, and Florence Garner, both of Avon.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Maurice and David; and by his parents, Edward Thomas and Myrtle Meredith (Monticue)
Services will be held privately by the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the donor’s choice.
