Charlotte Fern Gregg (nee: Rinehart), 88 years of age, and a resident of Grafton, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at her home following a full and meaningful life.
She was born October 22, 1933, in Marietta, Ohio. Charlotte was raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia before moving to Lorain County in 1955. She had made her home in Grafton for the last thirty-four years.
Charlotte was employed as a waitress at Hazels in Elyria for fifty-eight years. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door. Worshipping and serving her Lord at church was her passion. She loved being a homemaker, spending time with her family and going home to West Virginia to connect with her family.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Jack Ray Gregg; her sons, Charles Gregg and Roger (Robin) Gregg both of Grafton; her grandson, Kyle Gregg; her siblings, Ronnie Rinehart, Sarah Barker and Caroline Stanaker all of Parkersburg, WV.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles, Nelson and Connie Engle; and her parents, Woodford and Wanda Rinehart (nee: Riddle).
Friends may call Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 4-6 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Pastor Bob Wickens, of Church of the Open Door, will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . Private burial will be held by the family at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
