Charles “Charlie” Alan Teague, 76 years of age, and a resident of Wellington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Charlie was born September 19,1944, in Portsmouth, VA and was raised in Tennessee until coming to South Amherst at the age of fourteen. Wellington has been his home for the last 46 years.
Charlie worked for the Ford Motor Company at both the Lorain and Avon facilities for a total of 45 years. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the intelligence department of the US Army. He attended Faith Christian Church in Spencer where he served as a deacon. In his spare time he enjoyed yardwork, gardening and mowing. He treasured his family and the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charlie loved his family and will be remembered for engaging in sporting events with them, fishing and four wheeling.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifty-three years Donna Elaine Teague (nee: Bolinger); his children, David Teague of Wellington, Kimberly (Craig) Derouchie of Ashland, Scott (Diane) Teague of New London, Charles Andrew (Jami) Teague of Wellington, Steven (Jennifer) Teague of New London; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his brother, Roger Teague of Ashland; his sisters Linda Bolinger of Amherst, and Jean Teague of Oberlin.
Charles was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Madeline Elaine Teague and Ava Rose Ramirez; his brother, Raymond Teague; and his parents, Floyd and Lillian Teague (nee: Hollembaek).
Public visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 6-8 pm at Faith Christian Church, 356 North Main St., Spencer Ohio. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 am at the church. Rev. Thomas Keller will officiate. Burial will follow at New Russia Township Cemetery.
