Carrie "Elizabeth" Wilburn

Carrie Elizabeth Wilburn, 86 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at New Life Hospice in Lorain.

She was born May 5, 1936 in Greenup, Kentucky.  Elizabeth had made her home in Lorain county for over seventy-two years.

Her primary focus in life was that of a homemaker.  Elizabeth loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Her great greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.   She was an active member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Amherst, where she was a member of Topps.

Survivors include her children, Mary Bryant (Harold)) of Lorain, Glen “Sonny” Wilburn Jr. (Dusti) of Amherst, Betty Tews (Roy) of Lorain, Carol Palvekosky (Larry) of Harrisburg, PA, Roberta Truskot (Florian) of South Amherst, Robert Wilburn (Auria) of Amherst, and Deborah Easterday (Michael) of Hershey, PA and; her grandchildren, Chloe Guzman, Zachary (Katie) Wilburn, Sarah Wilburn, Jacob Easterday, Devin Easterday, Joshua Truskot; her great grandchildren, Annie, Carly, Charlotte and Juliette; her siblings, David Evans of Jacksonville, Jill Snodgrass (Larry) of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Judy Schaeffer (Paul) of Florida and Naomi Wilkins of  Rising Fawn,  GA.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Glen Wilburn on March 2, 2014; her son Edwin Wilburn, her grandchildren WIlliam Trinemeyer and Annie Tews; her parents, Robert and Betty Evans (nee: Stewart).

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst.
