Carl W. Stewart, 65 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Saturday. September 16, 2023 at Mercy Regional Medical Center ER.
He was born September 6, 1958 in Amherst. Carl was a lifetime resident of the Lorain, Sheffield Township area, graduating from Clearview High School with the class of 1976.
He was self-employed as a master auto mechanic. Carl loved to help people, especially those who needed help with their cars. He loved racing and antique automobiles. His hobbies included hunting and fishing and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Carl loved the time he spent with his family and had a major influence on all of his family and anyone who knew him. He was known to have a big heart, always willing to forgive when needed and was a very genuine and giving man.
Survivors include his children, Burt Stewart, Brian Stewart (Ashley), Chloe Stewart, Caleb Stewart all of Lorain, his grandchildren, Tyler and Addalyn Stewart; his siblings, Mark Stewart (Sherry) of Wellington, Joyce Kemnitz of Sheffield Village; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Margaret Stewart in childbirth; his brother, Gary Stewart; and his parents Bill and Marie Stewart (nee: Mullins).
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst. The Rev. Ron Richardson, pastor of Beacon Baptist Church, in Lorain, will officiate.
