Bradlee L. Block

Bradlee L. Block, 28  years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain,following a sudden illness.

He was born July 14, 1992 in Elyria.  Bradlee was raised in Amherst, graduating from Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst with the class of 2011.

He was employed at Trademark Global in Lorain in the warehouse.  Bradlee attended Christian Unity Church in Grafton.  He loved sports, especially football and was a member of the Lorain County Nightmares football team.  Bradlee enjoyed playing  baseball, golf, track and basketball. He was focused on staying fit and enjoyed working out.  

Survivors include his parents Thomas and Pamela Block (nee: Bennett), his sister Breanta Gareau (David) and niece Taylor Gareau of Amherst; his maternal grandparents Dawn and Okey Bennett of Amherst, his paternal grandfather Lafe Block of West Virginia and his girlfriend Cassidy Crayton.

He  was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mabel Sue Block in 2011.

Public visitation for family and friends will be held at Hempel Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the afternoon and evening by reservation at  https://signup.com/go/SzzocAn  or by phoning the funeral home at 440-988-4451 during business hours of 9-5.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February, 25, 2021 in the morning at the funeral home by reservation at  https://signup.com/go/QQdevSn .  Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http://www.hempelfuneralhome.com/ . The Rev. Neal Brock, pastor of Christian Unity Church will officiate.  Burial will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the second step Murray House in care of the Tom and Pam Block.
