Anita Jo Crawford

Anita Jo Crawford (nee: Kutchin), 52 years of age, and a resident of Elyria Township, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, following a lengthy illness.

 

She was born February 17, 1970, in Lorain.  Anita was raised and lived in Avon Lake, before moving to North Ridgeville where she resided for six years. Elyria has been her home for the last five years.

 

Anita graduated from Lorain County Community College Nursing Program.  She was employed as a LPN with Maximum Health Care for twenty-five years. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Avon Lake. Anita volunteered her time with various charitable groups.  In her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts, and traveling with her husband to visit family. 

 

Survivors include her husband of ten years, Gary Allen Crawford; her step daughter, Chelsea (Colin) Thayer of Pensacola, FL; her parents, Robert and Frances Kutchin (nee: Young) of Avon Lake; her sister, Debbie Spisz of North Olmsted; her nephew, Gregory Kutchin; her nieces, Erica Kutchin, Kayla Kutchin, Abbey Spisz and Corinne Spisz.

 

Friends may call Friday, Aug 19th, 2022, from 6pm until the time of services at 7pm at the Hempel Funeral Home. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com .
