Thomas Siegmund Obituary
Thomas Albert Siegmund, 80 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at his home, following a full and meaningful life.
He was born December 20, 1943 in Elyria, Ohio. Tom had made his home in Amherst for the last seventy years.
He was employed as an Electrician at Ford Motor Company, working at both the Lorain and Avon Lake plants for thirty-four years before retiring. Tom was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Amherst.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-five years, Christine B. Siegmund (nee: Nelson); his children, Heather Ohlrich (Tony) of Avon Lake and Brian Siegmund (Jen) of Hinckley; his grandchildren Jaden and Carson; and his brother, Gary Siegmund (Lee Anne) of North Olmsted.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Virginia Siegmund (nee: Mohrman).
Friends may call Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 5:00 until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. The Rev. Kurt Walker, Chaplain of the Wesleyan Village, will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com.
