Paul Edgar Landman Sr.

Paul Edgar Landman, Sr., 85 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, following a sudden illness.

He was born March 26, 1939 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Paul has made his home in Amherst for over fifty-seven years.

Paul served in the United States Army Reserves. He was employed at Ford Motor Company in both the Lorain and Avon plant for thirty-seven years before retiring in 2007.  Paul was a member of the UAW local 2000.  He  loved working outdoors and going hunting.  Paul was a handyman who could repair and fix anything.  In his spare time he enjoyed watching cowboy movies.  Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather and nothing brought him greater joy than the time he spent with family.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, Joyce Lee Landman (nee: Earley); his children, Tammy Buchanan of Avon Lake and Paul Edgar Landman Jr. of Rocky RIver; his grandchildren, Joshua and Jesse Buchanan; and his sister Susan Whiteman (Darrell) of Missourai.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold, Donald, Glenn, Edward; and his parents, Frederick and Catherine Landman (nee: Bowlin).

Friends may call Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.  Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com. 

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
