Lynn Bierman

Lynn Bierman, 68, years of age, and a resident of Rocky River, passed away suddenly Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Fairview Hospital.

She was born August 30, 1943 in Amherst, Ohio, where she was raised and graduated from Marion L. Steel in the class of 1961. Lynn had made her home in Rocky River for the last twelve years.

She was a real estate broker for over thirty years and owned and operated CRS Realty for ten years. Lynn loved her pets and was a supporter of the local animal shelters. She enjoyed her weekly gathering with family and friends for breakfast at Gina's Place. Lynn was an avid sports fan. In 1970, Lynn was inspired to start "Operation Love", an organization that touched hundreds of young people from poor areas. It was the beginning of the county cupboard, which collects food for the needy to this day.

Survivors include her twin sister Lois Bittinger and her daughters Sherry and Cindy Minn of Rocky River with whom Lynn had made her home; several other nieces and nephews; as well as sister-in-law Betty Bierman of Urbana, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Noble Bierman in 2011, George Bierman in 1990, Ed Bierman in 1975 and John Bierman in 2006; sister Audrey Bilby in 1998; and her parents John in 1961 and Margaret in 1988 Bierman (nee: Lynn).

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park; 44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst, Ohio.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Friendship Animal Protective League; 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
