Grigsby, Harold Gene "Hoot" - Age 76, Elyria, Ohio passed away on July 8, 2012 at about 5:05 A.M. Mr. Grigsby had been battling heart disease for many years, and finally passed as a result of a weakened heart.
Harold Gene, or "Hoot" as he was known to many of his friends, was a member of the UAW, retiring from the Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio after 30 years as an inspector.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Carrie Grigsby, brothers Ance Merlin Grigsby, William Parley Grigsby, Sister Bobbie Hughes, and a grandson, Richard "Beaver" Grigsby.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Edith Irene Grigsby, and son, Merlin Gene Grigsby, daughter-in-law Barbara Jean Grigsby of Hendersonville, Tennessee, grandson Brian Thomas Kelley, great grandson, Anthony Edward Kelley, and daughter, Sabrina Murphy, son-in-law David Murphy of Morrison, Colorado, grandson Sean Murphy, and granddaughter Tori Murphy.
He was an upbeat, interesting and entertaining personality. He will be extremely missed, because of his unbelievable influence on everyone's life he came into contact with.
Visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 4:30 until 6:00 with a memorial service at 6:00 P.M. at Hempel Funeral Home 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Burial will be held in the family Grigsby Cemetery in Hazard, Kentucky
