David Fredrick Rider, 56 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Oak Hills Nursing Home in Lorain.

He was born October 13, 1955 in Oberlin, Ohio. David was raised in Oberlin and concluded his high school years in Conneaut, Ohio. He had made his home in Marietta as well as spending the vast amount of his lifetime in Oberlin.

David was a gentle and kind person. He enjoyed flowers and wildlife. In his younger years, he loved hunting and recreational shooting. His hobbies included reading and studying history.

Survivors include his brother Dale Rider of Oberlin; sisters Dawn Burdette of Elyria and Diane Senyak and her husband Ronald of Pittsfield Twp; and many aunts, uncles including his Aunt Velma Twining whom he lived with for a significant time.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dana and Virginia Rider (nee: Twining).

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Camden Cemetery; Route 20, Camden Township. The Rev. Joshua Moldenhauer of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin, will officiate.
